About the CELPIP test

The CELPIP Test stands for the Canadian English Language Proficiency Index Program. It is a fully computer delivered English language testing program that provides a consistent and standardized measurement of a test taker’s competency in the four language skills (listening, speaking, reading and writing). It was originally developed by The University of British Columbia (UBC) to give a Canadian alternative to the IELTS Test, which is a British/Australian Test. It incorporates Canadian English and accents as practiced in Canada.

The CELPIP Test comes in three versions to suit different organizational needs (CELPIP General, CELPIP General LS and CELPIP-Academic), and DIVERSEcity offers CELPIP-General and CELPIP General LS. More details, you can find at https://www.celpiptest.ca
