The DIVERSEcity Volunteer Program offers newcomer and local residents an opportunity to further engage with their communities and gain valuable work experience. Participants are provided with training related to engagement within their communities in the volunteer sector. This training includes orientation to DIVERSEcity, the benefits of volunteering, how to become a volunteer, volunteer etiquette, and where to volunteer. Following training, participants are offered volunteer placements within DIVERSEcity based on individual needs and interests. Role specific orientation and training is also provided at this time. Positions may include some of the following: Events and Outreach Support, English Conversation Circle Assistants, Administrative Support Volunteers, Annual Income Tax Clinic Volunteers, and Annual Events and Planning Committee Volunteers.
