H.E.A.L. for Work Program

Empowering survivors of violence to get back into the labour market

Gain new skills and work experience to build the life you want in Canada. We take an empowerment approach to career services for survivors of violence or trauma, particularly women. With a focus on the landscaping, nursery and manufacturing industries, the H.E.A.L. program offers:

  • Paid occupational skills training
  • Paid work experience
  • Life skills and counselling workshops
  • One-on-one and group sessions
  • Mentoring and job shadowing

Program eligibility

You may be eligible for the free H.E.A.L. for Work Program if you meet the following criteria:

  • Survivors of violence or trauma
  • Unemployed or underemployed
  • Canadian citizens or permanent residents

The program is offered in English, with language support in Punjabi and Arabic.
