Planting Hope with BC’s Migrant Workers

Do you know where your food comes from?

Behind the sweet blueberries in your smoothie, the crisp corn on your summer grill and the apples in your lunchbox are the hands of migrant workers—individuals who leave behind their families and communities to work in BC’s fields.

At DIVERSEcity, our Collective Advocacy for Rights and Education (C.A.R.E.) for Migrant Workers program works to support, empower and integrate migrant workers into the community while ensuring they have access to crucial services. Through our new Planting Hope campaign, we invite you to recognize the people who not only plant seeds in our soils, but also plant seeds of hope for their families.

Migrant workers are the backbone of BC’s food production. Let’s welcome them in our community, as their hard work ensures fresh, local food reaches our supermarkets and homes all year long.
