BCAA Community Child Car Seat Program helps DIVERSEcity donate car seats to local families

DIVERSEcity’s RISE program is excited to announce that, through the generosity of the BCAA Community Child Car Seat Program, we were able to donate 16 much-needed car seats to local, underserved families. Through this program, the British Columbia Automobile Association, in partnership with the United Way of the Lower Mainland, has been able to provide nearly 12,000 child car seats to children and families over the last few years. We are honoured to have been chosen as one of their non-profit community partners for 2021.

Our deserving families were all smiles when they received their car seats last week. One family said, “I was worried about the safety of my child in the old booster seat. Now I have peace of mind to know that my child is safe and well secured while I am driving.” Another said, “Thank you for always helping and looking out for us.” The Alabed family stated, “Thank you to DIVERSEcity for providing my family the car seat. We were only able to have family outings within walking distance. Now my family and I can enjoy exploring all that Surrey has to offer together.”

Car seats are a necessity for all families with small children. Thank you again to both the BCAA and ULWM for helping our DIVERSEcity clients gain the freedom to explore their new community, safely and together.
