Susan Wells (she/her/hers) was born in Taiwan and immigrated to Canada with her family as a child. She knows firsthand how challenging it can be to establish roots in a new environment and flourish, which powers her motivation to help DIVERSEcity fulfill its mission of ensuring Everyone Belongs Here. Susan is a business leader with more than 30 years’ experience building, operating and transforming organizations in the hospitality, technology and public service sectors. Her human-centred approach has enabled her to build trusted collaborative relationships with diverse interest holders throughout her career, a strength that was recently bolstered from earning a master of arts degree in liberal studies from Simon Fraser University and certification from Indigenous Awareness Canada. Away from the business world, Susan has always sought to make a positive impact in her communities of interest. Her lived experience with several dimensions of diversity enables her to empathize with diverse interest holders and bridge differences to bring everyone together. She intends to leverage this energy in helping DIVERSEcity make great things happen for the people and communities it serves.
