How do children heal after loss? For Clara*, it began with art, play and a safe space to be heard. Through DIVERSEcity’s Child and Youth Mental Health Counselling program, counsellors like Gisèle help children and families process grief, anxiety and trauma in developmentally appropriate ways — building resilience for the future. Clara’s story reminds us that healing is not just individual, it’s relational. Together, families and communities can help children move forward with strength and hope. Earlier today, 20 of our staff came together at Frank Hurt Park for the DIVERSEcity Neighbourhood Cleanup, in partnership with the City of Surrey. It was a morning filled with teamwork, smiles, laughter and a shared purpose — as we worked to make the park a little greener and a little cleaner. A hands-on way to be in services, help in our neighbourhood and connect with the community. Because when we care for our parks, we care for each other. 🌎🌲♻️ #forpeopleforcommunites #CommunityCare #sustainablity #NeighbourhoodCleanUp #surreybc #delta #canada @thecityofsurrey ...
