Getting the word out about the BC Recovery Grant to diverse businesses in our community

DIVERSEcity Interpretation and Translation Services is helping spread the word about the BC Small and Medium Sized Business Recovery Grant Program.

With the ongoing impact of COVID-19 on small and medium-sized businesses in BC, the application deadline for this Government of BC grant program has been extended until August 31, 2021.

You can apply online for a BC Recovery Grant up to $30,000 — and up to $45,000 for eligible tourism-related businesses. Businesses only need to show a 30 per cent revenue loss from March 2020 to now when compared to the same one-month period in 2019.

If you’re eligible, you’ll be asked to develop a recovery plan. Professional service providers are available to help businesses with the recovery plan as needed. Once your recovery plan is reviewed, approved businesses will receive grant funding for their plan.

You may be asked to give information and documentation about your recovery efforts and how the grant funding was used.
