More than 200 coats donated and distributed to refugees

DIVERSEcity’s Bundle Up Campaign collected coats for refugees

Refugees in Surrey will be a little warmer this winter thanks to DIVERSEcity’s Bundle Up Campaign. Last weekend, more than 200 coats were distributed at our Community Campus, along with toques, scarves, umbrellas, mittens and gloves.

Thank you to following companies and organizations who donated coats to our campaign:

  • Community Savings Financial
  • Woodward Hill Elementary School
  • Brighton College
  • Al Baraka Specialty Foods
  • Brock White

We would also like to thank community members who dropped off coats at our two locations.

Volunteer Coordinator Faiaz Ahmad Faqiri.

None of this would have been possible without DIVERSEcity’s Volunteer Coordinator Faiaz Ahmad Faqiri, along with three hard-working volunteers, Assia, Abul and Shakib (seen in photo above), who spent hours collecting, organizing, folding and preparing all the winter coats donated.
