DIVERSEcity’s Seniors and Newcomer Settlement teams were invited by CCM Canada 加拿大中信 (Chinese Christian Mission) and the Love for Surrey Community Group — two volunteer-led organizations — to take part in the Surrey Newcomers Fun Fair at Calvary Church, along with other organizations like S.U.C.C.E.S.S. and Options Community Services. The event welcomed 200+ participants, primarily from Chinese communities living in the Fraser Heights and Whalley areas. This age-friendly and interactive event gave us the chance to connect with many families to DIVERSEcity's booth. We addressed a wide range of concerns, including settlement, housing, healthcare navigation, social engagement and more.DIVERSEcity's Lin and Leslie said they were truly grateful for the chance to support the community in a culturally meaningful and collective way.Learn more about our seniors and newcomer settlement programs here: www.dcrs.ca#ForPeopleForCommunities #newcomers #Chinesecommunity #FraserHeights ...
