A life-saving workshop in response to toxic drug supply in BC

International students are at high risk of overdose in BC due to toxic drug supply

As a part of DIVERSEcity’s ongoing commitment to educating and raising awareness in the community, DIVERSEcity’s Settlement team is proud to offer the upcoming workshop, Responding to Crisis: Naloxone Training and Overdose Awareness. This workshop aims to provide comprehensive insights into the topic, with special emphasis on laws surrounding substance use and the importance of naloxone in opioid overdose situations.

From learning life-saving tips such as how to administer a Naloxone kit in the event of an overdose and other safety measures, participants can enhance their understanding of substance use in Canada.

Let’s come together to create a more informed and safe community for all. This workshop is open to international students, refugee claimants and temporary foreign workers.

For those interested to attend, join us on Tuesday, December 5, 3–4:30 pm, at DIVERSEcity Surrey Community Campus. Can’t make it? Join us for another session on Thursday, December 7, 4:30–6:30 pm, at Sources Community Resource Centre in White Rock, BC.
