Today, we observe Red Dress Day, the National Day of Awareness for Missing & Murdered Indigenous Women and Girls and 2SLGBTQI+ people (MMIWG2S). ![]()

This is an annual day of remembrance for the countless Indigenous women, girls and gender diverse people who have been murdered or are missing. It is also a day to encourage learning and building awareness to end violence against Indigenous women. ![]()

In 2019, the National Inquiry into Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women and Girls released their 231 calls to justice that "represent important ways to end the genocide and to transform systemic and societal values that have worked to maintain colonial violence." ![]()
