Data shows us that hate crimes are on the rise in BC. In 2021, the province saw the highest increase in non-violent and religion-based hate crimes. In 2023, BC saw the highest increase in overall hate crimes reported, including violent crimes and those motivated by race and ethnicity or sexual orientation. ![]()
