Substance use affects individuals and families across all communities — but support should never be one-size-fits-all. That’s why DIVERSEcity’s upcoming therapy group takes a culturally inclusive approach to substance use and addiction, with language support in Punjabi and a focus on community-informed care. This group will begin in August 2025, taking place Mondays from 3–4:30 pm. During this 8-week group, we’ll explore: - Harm reduction tools and safety planning - Managing cravings, triggers and emotions - Strategies to deal with depression, stress and anger - Mindfulness practices and relapse prevention If you’re at the start or looking for support to strengthen your recovery, we’re with you for every step along the journey. To register call: 604-547-1221, email intake@dcrs.ca or complete the online form forms.office.com/pages/responsepage.aspx?id=qJvdGGXJREWdYnexuUrni4uKf2uVLkdFn9q8Rc2YOUJUQlk0VTdMQ... #ForPeopleForCommunities #MentalWellness #HarmReduction #AddictionRecovery #DIVERSEcity #SurreyBC #Delta ... Last week at DIVERSEcity’s School’s Out Summer Camp, in partnership with United Way BC - Lower Mainland, our campers explored the theme of Service to Community — and a special visit from Delta Police Department brought that to life. Delta Police officers took time to talk about community safety, answer curious questions, and even let the kids explore a police car up close! The kids were so moved, they wrote heartfelt thank-you cards on their own — a beautiful example of the values we’re nurturing through camp.Thank you to United Way BC for helping create these moments for children in Delta this summer.Learn more about School’s Out here: www.dcrs.ca/our-services/youth-programs/child-and-youth-camps/#ForPeopleForCommunities #SurreyBC #DeltaBC #summer #kids #summercamp #camp ... Earlier this month we took a field trip to A Rocha BC Centre! Participants enjoyed a hands-on, science-based experience with up-close encounters with wildlife, plants and local ecosystems. 🌱🥕🦫From learning about conservation to simply soaking up the beauty of BC’s natural environment, the day was both fun and informative. Children and adults alike left with new knowledge and a deeper appreciation for the place we call home. A big thank you to everyone who joined us — and to the folks at A Rocha for helping make this memorable outing possible.🌲 Photos by @madiijoyphotography#ForPeopleForCommunities #NatureLearning #BeautifulBC #EnvironmentalEducation #DIVERSEcity #BCNature #SurreyBC #Delta @arochacanada ...
