Did you know it’s Anti-Racism Awareness Week in BC, from May 22–26, 2023? It’s an opportunity for British Columbians to learn about BC’s diverse cultural history and how they can take action to combat racial discrimination and inequality. This week was launched in 2021, in recognition of the National Day of Anti-Asian Racism, started by the Stand With Asians Coalition and endorsements by municipalities across the country, after the rise of anti-Asian racism during the COVID pandemic. This week, let’s all engage in open conversations about racism, challenging stereotypes and exploring ways to promote diversity and inclusivity in society. Let’s speak up, educate ourselves and create a safe space where everyone feels valued and heard. Check out the Government of BC’s anti-racism information campaign at antiracist.gov.bc.ca#AntiRacismAwarenessWeek #DIVERSEcity #EveryoneBelongsHere #SurreyBC ... See MoreSee Less
