DIVERSEcity’s Language Programs offer a range of free English as a second language classes and programs geared to the needs of the community through the Language Instruction for Newcomers to Canada (LINC) program and the Moving Ahead program. As well as providing English training, the program ensures that the needs of newcomers are met by providing information about community and resources, as well as the skills for adapting to Canadian society and the Canadian work environment. These programs are offered at different times of day and week to accommodate the needs of clients, and are supported by on-site childcare.
In participation with Paragon Testing, DIVERSEcity provides CELPIP (Canadian English Language Proficiency Index Program) testing. This fee-for-service testing provides proof of English language fluency in support of admission to post-secondary institutions or in support of an application for citizenship.
