New Board slate is elected at DIVERSEcity Community Resources Society’s 43rd Annual General Meeting
At DIVERSEcity Community Resources Society’s 43rd Annual General Meeting on September 29, 2021, a new board slate was elected, welcoming two new directors.
The 2021–2022 Board of Directors is as follows:
Upkar Singh Tatlay
Office: President
Upkar is the Director of Scientific Research at Oxus Machine Works Inc. He has been a member of DIVERSEcity’s Board since 2019.
Amy Gill, CPA, CGA
Office: Vice Chair
Amy is Director of Finance at Thomas Downie Holdings. She has been a member of DIVERSEcity’s Board since 2020.
Jane Jae Kyung Shin
Office: Secretary
Jane is Vice President of Students & Community Development at Vancouver Community College. She has been a member of DIVERSEcity’s Board since 2018.
Sonia Parmar, CPA, CGA, TEP
Office: Treasurer
Sonia is a partner at David Pel & Company. She has been a member of DIVERSEcity’s Board since 2020.
Jason Wong
Board Director
Jason is founder of Beta Collective and YVR Prep. He has been a member of DIVERSEcity’s Board since 2020.
Cindy Zheng
Board Director
Cindy is a business law, employment law, and wills and estates lawyer with the law firm of McQuarrie. She is a new member of the board.
Kam K. Raman, MBA, CD.D.
Board Director
Kam is Director, Diversity and Inclusion, with RBC. She is a new member of the board.
After years of dedicated service, supporting DIVERSEcity’s growth and building expansions, Robert (Bob) Appleton, who served as President for 2020–2021, stepped down from the DIVERSEcity Board of Directors.
