During this week DIVERSEcity will be sharing various Gender Based Violence (GVB) services and resources we have and one of those is our Prevention, Education, Advocacy, Counselling and Empowerment (P.E.A.C.E.) Program for Children and Youth Experiencing Violence. The P.E.A.C.E Program offers caring, psycho-educational support for children and teens, ages three to 18, who've been exposed to or endured violence in their homes. ![]()

This training is a powerful tool for service providers in their empowerment planning with immigrant populations including women, LGBTQ+, youth, adults and seniors. ![]()

This week is Victims and Survivors of Crime Week (May 12–18, 2024). Throughout the week we will be highlighting our gender-based violence services and resources offered at DIVERSEcity. ![]()

We start the week highlighting our Multicultural Victims Outreach Services, which provide safe and protective support for self-identified women who have experienced intimate partner violence through practical assistance and support. These outreach services are often combined with our Stopping the Violence Counselling services. ![]()
![]()
DIVERSEcity’s Stopping the Violence Counselling program uses trauma-informed therapeutic approaches to support self-identified women survivors of violence in their healing journey. ![]()
![]()
One of the women we helped through Stopping the Violence shared: “Having no family members and friends in Canada, I needed someone to hear my story and validate my feelings. I learned to stay motivated and work toward my goals. I learned about the cycle of abuse and increased my self-esteem and self-worth.” ![]()

DIVERSEcity’s services are free, compassionate, culturally informed, confidential and available in several languages. ![]()
