Immigrant communities in Surrey and beyond grow bigger each year, creating huge social and economic opportunities. Get in the Know is an initiative designed to make sure local businesses and community stakeholders don’t miss out.
Employers are developing innovative ways to recruit, retain and advance new immigrants in the workplace. Get in the Know has been developed and continues to bring in the expertise of business leaders, stakeholders and numerous immigrant service agencies to share those strategies – and develop more.
The information and resources are made easily available to employers, community stakeholders and new immigrants through its extensive array of online and downloadable materials and email bulletins. We believe that education is the first step towards building culturally diverse and thriving workforces.
This project is being managed by DIVERSEcity Community Resources Society and coordinated by PEERS Employment and Education Resources. It is made possible through funding from the Government of Canada.
