Read-y for Life: Pathways for EAL Learners (Community Adult Literacy Program (CALP))

DIVERSEcity’s Read-y for Life: Pathways for EAL Learners is a bridge literacy program for adult EAL learners who are citizens, temporary foreign workers, permanent residents and refugees lacking proficiency primarily in reading and writing. The classes are PBLA aligned allowing clients to complete reading and writing assessments for Portfolio Based Language Assessment transferable to any Language for Newcomers to Canada (LINC) program. Read-y for Life classes are offered in the morning with childminding to accommodate clients who are parents with young children, and in the evening to accommodate clients who are working during the day.
